Iraklis Katsaloulis

 

Iraklis Katsaloulis was born in Athens, Greece. He has received the B.A. degree in Physics from the University of Crete, Greece, and the M.A. degree in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Athens, Greece. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Philosophy and History of Science, University of Athens, in the field of History of Science. His research deals with the history of contemporary seismology in Greece and specifically on the scientific controversy concerning short term earthquake prediction which took place in ‘80s and ‘90s. His research interests include scientific controversies, scientific expertise, science policy issues, and the public image of science.
